Job description
Hours – Part-Time, 7 hours per week (Sunday)
Contract – Permanent
Salary– £23,424 per annum (pro-rata for part-time, £12.60 per hour)
Location – Edinburgh International Climbing Arena: Ratho

We are looking for a fun-loving people person with a great sense of humour and plenty of energy and enthusiasm to join our Soft Play team.
What You’ll Do:
- Ensure that all children and parents have a great experience in the soft play area by providing exceptional customer service.
- Create a welcoming environment and maintain high standards of play, while promoting a happy and safe atmosphere.
- Ensure the safety of children by communicating with parents or guardians and monitoring and controlling access to and from the soft play area.
- Respond to customers’ questions and enquiries in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Interact and play with children aged 0 - 9 years, helping deliver birthday parties and other seasonal events.
- Maintain very high standards of cleanliness, including litter picking, cleaning the soft play area, customer seating area/café, and toilets.
What You’ll Bring:
- Exceptional customer service skills with experience in customer-facing roles.
- Experience of working with children and young people.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic IT skills and ability to learn technical systems (e.g., radios, alarms).
- Ability to learn and follow safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks, stay calm under pressure, and respond quickly to customer needs.
