I genuinely love working at EL, it’s never felt like just a job to me. I’m in a sector I’m passionate about, which makes coming to work enjoyable rather than stressful or boring. The people here are fantastic, supportive, friendly, and fun and that creates a great atmosphere. The work-life balance is another big plus. Most importantly, I feel proud knowing that everyone in this organisation is here to make a positive impact and help others. That shared purpose is something great.

Edinburgh Leisure is undoubtably making a positive impacted on local communities and wider society. Being a part of an organisation which acts as a third space for many minority groups at a time of intense polarisation between the population is a vital part of pushing back against forces of division. In addition, working synergistically with the health care sector to improve and prevent health related issues can't be under emphasised. This fills me with a great sense of responsibility and fulfils me deeply.

I have been an Edinburgh Leisure member for more than 20 Years. I always enjoy my visits, which is why I keep going. The staff are particularly friendly, and you have some excellent intructors. They are always cheerful, well prepared and teach in a way that means I always leave the class feeling upbeat.
The facilities are state of the art. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and so welcoming - that includes all staff, particularly those in the reception desk, and those in the cafe.
Had my first ever swimming lesson as an adult non-swimmer today. Was an amazing experience, including the encouragement from the lovely woman at the reception who saw that I was very nervous. My instructor was amazing, really boosted my confidence and helped me to feel like I could actually learn to swim. Genuinely a brill experince, was everything I was hoping for and absolutely worth what I paid. Thank you so much!
