Salary – £35,823 per annum
Hours – Full-time, 35.75 hours a week
Contract – Temporary, 12 months
Location – Craiglockhart Tennis & Leisure Centre

We are looking for a vibrant, forward-thinking leader to take ownership of the diverse and rewarding role of the Operations Manager at Craiglockhart Tennis & Leisure Centre.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead by example to ensure high standards of customer service, venue cleanliness, and presentation.
- Address customer needs and feedback proactively, continuously improving service quality.
- Guide your team to success, provide support, continuous development, and mentoring to ensure high performance, productivity, and training compliance.
- Manage leave requests, sickness absences, performance, and participate in the recruitment, onboarding, and development of staff.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the annual business plan to maximise revenue and improve overall facility performance.
- Contribute to planning, organising, managing, and evaluating the centre’s daily activities, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional experiences for customers.
- Communicate and enforce all health and safety, risk assessments, security regulations, and protocols through all services and activities, ensuring a safe environment for customers and staff.
What You’ll Bring:
- Degree-level education or equivalent or experience in the leisure, hospitality, or events industry.
- Substantial management experience in key leisure operations areas, including staff leadership and team management, health & safety, customer service, and event organisation.
- A proactive, solution-focused mindset with excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and judgment skills.
- Ability to juggle conflicting priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional organisational, interpersonal, communication, delegation, and leadership abilities, with the knack for building strong relationships and working effectively across different teams and functions.
- (Desirable) Evidence of continuous professional development (e.g. CIMSPA, IOSH).
- (Desirable) Knowledge of financial control, industry best practice, and relevant legislation, with experience applying these in an operational setting.
