We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic people to join our Lifeguard/Leisure Attendant teams. We have a variety of seasonal roles available at venues across Edinburgh.
In this hands-on role, there is never a dull moment. On a day-to-day basis, you will:
- Provide an enjoyable experience for every customer.
- Be the lifeguard on duty, always there to keep our customers safe in the water.
- Prepare and set up our venues and equipment for events and customer use.
- Keep everything clean, tidy, safe, and presentable.

Previous experience is not required, but our ideal candidate will be:
- A strong swimmer.
- Able to communicate effectively and professionally with diverse people.
- Able to work independently and as a part of a team.
- Able tolearn,follow and enforce all pool standards, processes, and procedures.
- Valid NPLQ is desirable but not essential, as we offer a free Lifeguard Training Course.
Opportunities available:
- Full-time and part-time seasonal roles – from 7 to 35.75 hours per week – working on a Rota-based shift pattern –June to September–venues across Edinburgh.
- Full-time permanent roles – 35.75 hours a week - Leith Victoria Swim Centre
- Part-time permanent role – 22.75 hours a week– Queensferry High School
Meet our team at The Royal Commonwealth Pool on Tuesday, 30th of April 2024. from 10:00 to 18:30 for an interview and water test (please bring appropriate swimwear and towel). Due to limited spaces available on the day, we will contact you to reserve your slot.
