We are looking for an experienced Facilities professional to step into the new role of FM Manager and lead the maintenance of our venues across the estate.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in keeping our venues safe, compliant, and well-maintained, with responsibility for planned and reactive maintenance, swimming pool water quality, and legionella management.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead, develop, and manage a high-performing Facilities Management team to deliver an effective planned and reactive maintenance programme across the estate.
- Set and monitor KPIs, using performance data to drive continuous improvement and support organisational objectives.
- Take responsibility for water quality across all swimming pools, including oversight of legionella control and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate maintenance delivery across internal teams and external contractors, ensuring work is scheduled, compliant, cost-effective and of high quality.
- Ensure full compliance with all H&S legislation, including reviewing risk assessments, safe systems of work and contractor documentation.
- Monitor performance, analyse data and produce reports and business cases to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Lead the implementation of operational workplans, keeping stakeholders informed and responding effectively to emerging issues.
- Take a proactive leadership role in resolving critical incidents and equipment failures, ensuring minimal disruption and safe operation of facilities.
What You’ll Bring:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working in Facilities Management, with a track record of meeting targets and developing services.
- Strong leadership experience with the ability to manage, motivate and develop teams and build effective working relationships with stakeholders and contractors.
- Demonstrable experience delivering planned and reactive maintenance programmes and improving service performance.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety compliance and statutory building requirements within a facilities or operational environment.
- Experience contributing to budget management, performance monitoring and data-led decision making.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and present information clearly and effectively.
Desirable:
- Health & Safety (e.g. IOSH), Legionella or First Aid qualification
