We believe strongly that physical activity has the power to transform lives, and that being active is one of the best things you can do to improve your health and wellbeing.

Sadly in Scotland and here in Edinburgh we still have a long way to go. 30% of men and 38% of women do not take part in enough physical activity to experience the associated health benefits. The evidence for children is even more alarming with 65% of boys and 71% of girls failing to meet the physical activity guidelines.

Edinburgh Leisure are on a mission to help people lead more active and healthy lives. We are looking for energetic and enthusiastic individuals to join our Active Communities team and help us get more people active to improve their health and wellbeing.

We are looking for people who have a passion for helping others to be active through delivering motivational one to one consultations and physical activity sessions for inactive children, young people, adults and older adults. You will be supporting and encouraging vulnerable people experiencing inequalities and a range of health conditions, including dementia. It is your role to support participants to get active, remain active and improve their health and wellbeing.

It is desirable for you to have a Level 3 Exercise Referral qualification, or to be willing to work towards this.

Apply today and you could be changing lives tomorrow.

Closing date: Sunday 19th January 2020
Assessment date: Wednesday 29th January 2020
