Leisure is one of the UK’s leading leisure trusts. A registered charity with a
turnover in excess of £30 million, attracting almost 5 million customer visits
per annum. Managed and run by over 900 employees, who deliver great service and
a huge variety of activities in venues throughout the city.
Our vision,
and hopefully yours, is to make a positive difference to communities by
creating opportunities for people to get active, stay active and achieve more.
We currently
have two vacancies on our Board and are seeking to recruit members who share
our passion and are looking to give something back to the city by helping to
secure an active, healthy future for people of all ages. We need one Board
Member who brings significant knowledge and experience in the following areas:

- human resources, learning & development or organisational
development (this person will represent our employees, ensuring the employee
voice is heard)
And, for the other position;
knowledge and experience in one or more of the following:
- Marketing and communications
- Research
- Health
Applicants
must also have the experience to perform at a corporate/strategic level as well
as being able to demonstrate an understanding of the environment in which
Edinburgh Leisure operates.
The positions
are all voluntary and will require, at minimum, attendance at six Board
meetings per year. Alongside this there are various sub committees that the
successful candidates will be invited to join.
