 We are looking for a dynamic and experienced professional to take ownership of our L&D strategy as a Head of Learning and Development

 

 

In this challenging and exciting role, you will be responsible for:

  •  Leading, supporting, managing, and mentoring the team of learning and development specialists to ensure people development is in line with the business strategy
  •  Developing and implementing strategic solutions to ensure training programmes meet the needs of various departments and employees at all levels of the organisation. 
  •  Identifying skills and knowledge gaps within our workforce and developing targeted training programs to address them
  •  Ensuring compliance with L&D standards, policies and procedures and identifying areas for improvement through collaborative working with SLT, Heads and other key stakeholders. 
  •  Managing the L&D budget and providing reports on the effectiveness of our training programmes. 

 

We seek a forward-thinking, warm, and welcoming individual who can engage and connect with others. Our ideal candidate will be comfortable conversing with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and at all organisational levels.

   

In addition, we are looking for the following qualifications and skills: 

  •  A Chartered Member of CIPD, with evidence of an in-depth knowledge of learning theories, best practices, and emerging trends in the field of learning and development. 
  •  Direct experience with managing L&D resources, organisational development, and employee engagement
  •  Strong leadership qualities with the proven ability to lead a team. 
  •  The skills to influence, motivate, direct, and persuade to drive business and cultural change programmes. 
  •  Excellent communication and listening skills, including the ability to engage all levels of the organisation
  •  Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate the effectiveness of people development strategies and make data-driven recommendations and drive results

This is a hybrid role with time spent between our head office at Meadowbank and home working with attendance at our other venues as required
