Our Active Communities team use the power of physical activity and sport to help those in need improve their health and wellbeing. We are looking for two energetic and enthusiastic individuals to join our team and help us get more people more active.

Being inactive increases the risk of developing long-term health conditions such as type II diabetes, high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease and some cancers; so as an Active Communities Supervisor you will be tasked with leading the delivery of and supporting the development of our targeted physical activity and health referral programmes which include adult weight management, falls prevention, long term conditions, mental health and dementia.

We are currently looking for two dedicated individuals to support the delivery and development of our Adult Weight Management and Dementia Physical Activity referral projects.
With 65 percent of Scottish adults being overweight or obese; 80 per cent of adults not eating the recommended five portions of fruit or veg a day; 36% of adults not achieving the national physical activity guidelines and one in fourteen people over 65yrs living with a dementia diagnosis this is an important but challenging role.

It’s a job where every day is different and where you can make a difference every day.  As a result, we’re looking for someone who loves variety, is interested in helping people and is always up for a challenge, as well as being enthusiastic, motivated and ready to hit the ground running.

You are required to have a level 3 Exercise referral qualification and experience of motivational interviewing is advantageous. In return, you’ll find we offer one of the best rewards packages in the industry, with generous holiday allowance, pension and free use of every one of our centres.

Apply today and you could be changing lives tomorrow.
